Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan
Ms Kathy Leach has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan and started her posting in August 2021. Previously she was Deputy Director, Constitution and Devolution, Europe Directorate in the FCDO. From 2012-15 Ms Leach served as Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia. She is married and has three children. She speaks Russian and French, has learnt Japanese and Armenian, and is currently learning Kazakh.

British Ambassador to Kazakhstan
The Ambassador represents Her Majesty The Queen and the UK government in the country to which they are appointed. They are responsible for the direction and work of the Embassy and its Consulates, including political work, trade and investment, press and cultural relations and consular services.
